7 days to Christmas!

Woot!

Finally done with making and writing Christmas cards =) This year's batch is computer-generated so at least I managed to churn out much more than I did last year. And they're prettier too! Design work makes me happy! Aren't too pleased with the printing though. Colours turned out a tad duller than I expected, and the alignment of my printer wasn't the same as the one showing on my laptop screen. Spent hours standing by the printer to make sure that the paper goes in the correct way, and the image edges are nice and straight. I'm out of paper now, and am still short of about 5 cards. I doubt I have the time to rush them out and through the mail before Christmas though. Will be having an outing at ECP with anatomy groupmates tomorrow and then badminton with Wendy and YM on Tues. YC's back on Wed afternoon and I can't wait. Heh.. E-cards may just have to suffice. =/ I'll make my cards earlier next year. I promise!!

I love writing Christmas cards because I always end up taking stock of what happened in the year. How things have changed, how relationships have progressed, and maybe relive those little memorable events, like laughing over Mr Bay's silly analogies during lunch breaks. Some part of my Christmas greeting inevitably ends up sounding like a testimonial, what I find admirable in an individual and such. Critical comments I normally make are intentionally left out (Tis' the season of giving). Each message's carefully crafted out, a summary of what's happened over the year, and what I'm thankful for. I suppose that differentiates a sincere note from one of those commercial greetings that are churned out by the dozens.

And here's the design of my card, after much tweaking of the image! Hurhur.. Lovely!
