Love Little India

Saturday saw me and Wendy in Little India, wandering down Buffalo Road in search of the beauty parlour Rupini's. It took us a long while to find the place, especially since we were caught up in Tekka Mall looking for film to load Wendy's slr. But it was well worth the while. Eyebrow threading at Rupini's was a novel experience, much less painful than expected with rather good results. Nice place that smells heavenly. Highly recommended! And expect to see loads of beautiful Indian patrons if you are heading down there. They make excellent eye candies. Heh.

We later headed for an early dinner down the street. Indian cuisine of course, though definitely not on par with Samy's curry at Dempsey (my all-time favourite!!). Wendy couldn't take the stench of the mutton, but the dish was fabulous nevertheless.

Indian cuisine for dinner! Extremely delicious and filling. Less than 10 bucks for both of us.

Wendy enjoying her food.

The rest of the evening was squandered exploring the area, snapping photographs as we went along. I do so adore strong vibrant colours! Flowers, bangles, sweets and saris all screaming for attention. Pretty things make me happy!

Indian sweets. I like the milk burfi.

Flowers. Strong contrasting colours. Oohlala!!!

And one of my favourite photos.

Pretty bangles on sale, at a steal too.

Street stall.

Tourists on the trishaw.

Got some nice shots at night, but I don't particularly appreciate the grainy effect of ISO400. Shan't bother posting them up here.

And my 2 favourite shots on this trip:
