Move and Groove

Move and Groove wasn't exactly an event to boast about. But oh well, here's what I learnt.

1. RJ campus is falling apart. School committee obviously sees no need for any investment in the old campus. Ya, they are shifting out next year so the money saved up can be put to better use.

2. Mrs Kwan is pregnant, again. Hooray to procreation. The other Math teachers probably have similar plans to escape their now heavier workload.

3. Mr Edmond Kwok has unfortunately taken to wearing more subtle colours, much to the maiden's dismay. But at the very least he still looks pretty much like pre-AMI Clay Aiken. And of course Mr Kwok still survives well in the maiden's memory. How could anyone wearing pink socks to school not?

4. Channel News Asia came for the footage of Mr Hodge opening up the time capsule. Contents were a tad too formal for the maiden's liking. But preservation work was done well, and the papers dating back to the 1980s are not yet yellow with age.

5. RJ has currently 16 triple science classes. Yes, all the way to 3Q. They have been split up into 2 lecture groups to facilitate learning. Imagine Mr Nah's displeasure of having to teach the same thing twice. Hah! Little wonder now that the laboratories are falling apart from the extra workload.

6. Brainiest Rafflesian Competition ended up a flop. Scene of a contestant pointing out a mistake in a question was caught by CNA. And some joker won the contest in the end. Oh well.

7. Smooth and Groove bears an uncanny resembance to ACJC's Fun-O-Rama. Heyhey, I'm sure you know where the dunking activities and the Haunted House originated from. Innovation my dears, goodness gracious me! Where have the Rafflesians hidden their creativity?

8. Dunking business was set to go bust. Who cares about knocking some unknown kid into the water? Even henna tattooing and fingernail painting garnered more customers! The kids just don't know the key to success. Put a certain Jxx Sxxxx up there, and she'll rake in fantastic bucks! Opps.. Forget that I mentioned it here.

9. The event was not much of a get-together session, quite unfortunately. Only chanced upon 4 of my classmates, and learnt that Mr Chan is now a PSC scholar from the guy himself. Doesn't seem like our batch is an enthusiastic one, but that's nothing new in any case.

10. Presently the maiden has nothing else to say regarding Move and Groove. She shall attempt to fill up this space should something strike her as worthy of her words.

The maiden spoke at 8:29 PM
