Pamela figured out today why my fingers are always ice-cold. Apparently, the veins and arteries are so near the surface of my hands that heat loss becomes significant. So now I'll start trying to will my vessels to bury themselves a tad deeper so my fingers will feel warm and nice, just like everyone else's. But that reasoning doesn't explain the purplish-blue colouration of my nails. I hope I'm not coming down with anything.
