Untitled

The eagles soar, crying
on the mountain high
tears and sorrow
echoing down the valleys.
the stinging feel of loneliness

The waves leap higher,
each dancing its most
beautiful dance
grasping nothing more than air.
this sharp ache of emptiness.

so there we were.

There you are, the lone star
setting out on your single flight
as I watch
brimming with sweetness and hope
the joy of pride.

Yet the wait is eternal
your silhouette fades
filtering with it every little glimpse
of light
that makes my day.

Will you leave me here
on the other side of the glass
with only the initial smile
and a faint memory?
To let the love in me turn
brutally violent
savagely wrenching everything and
rapping desperately at
the glass barrier
between you and me.

And there was no longer
that excitment
or fear

The sky still existed, the ambience
peacefully quiet
I am a drop of rain
just learning the storm.

The maiden spoke at 11:26 PM
